Backpacking/Hiking > 5 days Kluane National Park

To lessen our environmental impact we change our hikes regularly, this also enables us to be diverse in what we offer and gives clients a chance to see many different parts of the Yukon. Kluane is the perfect example of that.

Kluane National Park covers 21,980 square kilometers and is where Tami Hamilton (Owner/Operator YWE) grew up.

It is also one of the most beautiful places on Earth as Parks Canada describes here:
“ It is a land of precipitous, high mountains, immense ice-fields and lush valleys that yield a diverse array of plant and wildlife pieces for a host of outdoor activities.”
It is home to Canada’s highest peak, Mount Logan, standing at 5959m.

Kluane has to be seen to be believed, it is truly breathtaking.

Day 1
Meet at 9am to go over any last minute details and then begin our 2 hr
drive to Haines Junction. You will see these beautiful mountains coming long before we arrive! We’ll stop at the Village Bakery for lunch, then to the Visitor Reception Center to register and listen to an interpretive talk about the Park. We’ll then drive to trail head and set out.

Day 2- 4
As we spend these next 4 days hiking, we’ll have the opportunity to view birds, wildlife and many different species of vegetation. There will be plenty of photo ops’ for those who love to record their journey through pictures. We’ll enjoy great cooking, journaling, and much more.

Day 5
As this is our last day, we’ll enjoy a lazy morning before we begin our hike back to the trail head. Once there we’ll pack up our gear and drive back to Whitehorse.Cost $ 1000.00 p/p + G.S.T (CAD)
