Atlin in the most northerly town in British Columbia and can only
be accessed through the Yukon. It is rich in both history and
beauty. Amongst the many other sited and attractions, there is
a warm springs, an icy “Grotto”(ice cold water rushing
through a wonderful cave) and the Lelwellyn Glacier.
Day 1
We’ll pick you up around 9am, double check the gear and then
head off down the highway. This 2.5 hour drive along Little Atlin
Lake has some wonderful scenery with possible bear and sheep sightings.
We’ll have our lunch and spend the afternoon exploring
this quaint little town.
Day 2-6
The next 5 days will be spent paddling up the Lake to our final
destination the Llewellyn Glacier. We’ll have lots of
opportunities for photos, birding, wildlife viewing and so
much more. The exploring
opportunities will continue as we make our way back down to
Atlin.
Day 7
After a good night’s sleep and leisurely breakfast, we’ll
paddle into Atlin, pack up our gear and head back to Whitehorse
for a hot shower and soft bed!
